The Schoolhouse today

Since 2010 the Rock Valley Schoolhouse has been the site for a number of public events organized in the summer months. Its goal has been to create awareness of the Schoolhouse and its historical value to the community, promote interest in the arts and culture and to raise funds for the maintenance and upkeep of the building. You can read recent press here.

The summer program includes poetry readings, concerts, oral history and story telling.

Programs are supported in part by the Delaware Valley Arts Association and the New York State Council for the Arts.

2020 and Covid-19

The Summer Program for 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. In lieu of that we organized a fund-raiser and invited several of our regular performers to create special videos. We also commissioned a video with Julia Greenberg and Tricia Scotti that was filmed in the Schoolhouse.

You can see past events here and please sign up below to receive updates about future events.
